Blessing of the Roads Campaign

In Blog

The Blessing of the Roads campaign is an annual state-wide road safety awareness campaign run in the lead up to and during the Easter long weekend.

This year the Easter long weekend runs from Friday 3 April until Monday 6 April.

WALGA's RoadWise Program is encouraging Local Governments, RoadWise Committees, organisations and communities to promote road safety in the lead up to the Easter long weekend by participating in the campaign activities - formally blessing the roads as part of an official ceremony or hosting an event and/or disseminating the campaign messages in their communities.

Speakers at this years event are the Mayor Joondalup City Troy Pickard and Murray Lampard the chairman of the Road Safety Council WA.

Road Signage to Help Bring Awareness of Attitudes on WA Roads

In Blog

Our digital signage was placed in several prime locations across Perth over the Easter period and was seen by thousands of motorists. Easter is a time that many people travel and sometimes drivers can let their guard down. Roads can get very busy during peak holiday periods and result in road agression and sometime accidents . By spreading a positive message through carefully placed signage we hope to create increased awareness and good attitudes on our roads.

Help us make a positive change? - The Road Safety for Life project is a private funded project. We are looking for donations and sponsorship. Every little will help us create awareness on WA roads.
